What Actually Worked (Even When I Was Skeptical)
This is the final post in the Vision That Works in 2026 series. If you’ve been following this 3-part series, we started by rethinking traditional goal setting and why it keeps so many moms stuck. Now, in this final part, I’m sharing what I actually did that worked – even when I didn’t fully believe it would.
This post is a personal story, but also a turning point. It’s about how clarity (through vision work) became the foundation for a life that felt impossible before.

I Didn’t Always Believe This Would Work
I used to roll my eyes at “vision work.” Writing down what I wanted? Making a Canva board? It felt… unreal. But clarity became the thing that changed everything.
Last year, I did something I never thought I could:
I followed my husband on an impromptu trip to Germany. No permission slips. No awkward employee-boss convos. No drama.
Was it magic? No.
It was relief… and proof that my life had changed.
The truth is: It used to take a full-blown project plan to request time off. I hated how boxed in I felt, even when my intentions were good. The change didn’t happen overnight, but it did start when I got radically clear on my vision and paired it with a system I could return to.
Why I Use and Recommend Vision to Success
The Vision to Success guide (by Unfaced Strategy) became the rhythm I needed:
- It breaks your year into meaningful focus areas
- It respects your bandwidth and capacity
- It helps you re-anchor when life pulls you off track
It’s not about aesthetics or productivity hacks.
It’s about building a vision that can hold you when things feel uncertain.

But Start Here First
If you’re not ready to dive into a full planning system, start with the Vision Reset Worksheet.
It’s a free, 4-prompt download I created for exactly these moments. It’s short, calming, and often the first domino that gets momentum moving.

This System + My Vision = Quiet Confidence
Here’s what worked for me:
- I stopped chasing goals that didn’t reflect my season
- I stopped trying to match someone else’s pace
- I started returning to a vision that felt like mine
And over time, that vision led to more flexibility, more peace, and a lot more presence in my everyday life.
TL;DR
You don’t need to hustle harder. If 2026 feels heavy already… you don’t need another plan.
You need something to return to.
Start with the free Vision Reset.
If it resonates, add the Vision to Success framework.
It’s the combo that helped me make real-life shifts that last.
